Until recently the industry has been very limited on the resources available to treat cellulite. Some technologies may have been able to minimize cellulite, but definitely not eradicate it. Cellulite is the pulling of fibrous bands underneath the skin that creates the orange peel look, most commonly seen on women on the thighs and buttocks. Endermologie is a technique long used to minimize cellulite, however multiple sessions are required, vigorous massage IS necessary during each and every treatment. Even after the treatment package is long over the results are not guaranteed. Although medicine is not an exact science, new advances have turned a corner on the cure for cellulite. It’s a laser called Cellulaze and finally we can treat cellulite right from the source. It works by inserting a tiny fiber under the skin that delivers laser energy in two different directions. The laser directs the energy forward and upwards at the same time. This allows the fibrous bands to be broken up so the “pulling effect” no longer creates the unsightly cellulite look. Cellulaze delivers the best results for women who are not significantly overweight but have mild to moderate cellulite on their thighs. Because the area is numbed with local anesthesia, there is minimal discomfort during the procedure. Following the treatment, you may experience some soreness, but you will be able to return to your normal activities in a day or two.
You’ll see some improvement right away with optimal results apparent between 3-6 months later.
